There's a safe space for you

Communities

If you feel that you’re reaching breaking point, we’re here to listen to what you need and work with you to help.

Safe space hub

We‘ve been working with Hammersmith, Fulham, Ealing and Hounslow Mind and have recently launched a service, Safe Space, that supports and improves mental health.

What is Safe Space?

Safe Space is a local hub that you can easily access, providing you with a calming environment where you can get support with your mental wellbeing. If you feel that you’re nearing crisis point -  we’re here for you.

What kind of support is available?

You’ll be greeted by friendly staff who’ll always be there to listen to you and help you get the support you need. We’ll also work with you to make you feel less anxious. Some things available are:

  • Hot drinks
  • Refreshments
  • Calming services
  • Coping strategies
  • Support from mental health practitioners.

We’ll also signpost you to other agencies if we feel that you need additional support.

What we have to say

Dele Ryder, Partnership and Fundraising Manager at A2Dominion, said:

“We’ve been working with Mind, Hammersmith and Fulham, Ealing and Hounslow for the last 2 years, securing over £20,000 from various funders to expand their service to vulnerable groups.

“We’re pleased to be working in partnership with Mind to launch Safe Spaces at the Lido Centre, which is a unique free local facility which will provide access to support for individuals and communities across West London."

How can I access support?

Safe Space is based at the Lido Centre, 63 Mattock Lane, W13 9LA in Ealing.

You can drop in between 6pm and 8pm or book appointments to visit on site after this time. There are virtual appointments through Zoom and telephone support is also available.

If you know someone who needs mental health support in the area, they can access the service by simply calling 0207 471 0583 or sending an email.
