Last year, 17 customers successfully applied to the fund, with a total of £34,000 awarded, to help achieve career goals or upskill at different stages in their lives.

“Life-changing support” helped customer to secure dream job
Roxanne Palmer, an A2Dominion customer, secured £1,700 from the Springboard Fund to help her fund a course to become a highly-trained tourist guide.
After recovering from cancer, Roxanne was unable to return to her previous career. The Springboard Fund helped her achieve her dream of becoming a tour guide.
She said: “To describe the Springboard Fund as life-changing is underestimating the power that it's had for me and my future.
“The application process was easy and clear and the interview process was enjoyable.
“I trained for 18 months on what's called the Blue Badge Tourist Guide course, the highest qualification you can get in the whole of the UK to be a tour guide. This was something I was looking at throughout my illness but I just thought, it's never going to happen.
“And now, I'm here, living this dream, getting this second chance at a whole new career that still uses my skills.
“I owe eternal gratitude to this fund and to the whole team making the process lovely and being so supportive.”
