What is the Love London Working (LLW) programme?
LLW is a partnership of 9 housing associations based in London which aims to help you find work if you’ve been long-term unemployed. It’s a training and employment programme for anyone over the age of 16 who lives in London. Since 2016 LLW has a successfully supported 17,500 customers like you and helped over 5,500 find work.
How does it work?
Working with LLW we offer a range of support including:
- Training opportunities
- Financial support such as work-start expenses including travel passes and interview clothes as well as childcare costs
- Help developing important skills such as IT
- Support with CV writing
- Assistance with job applications
- Interview practice.
Why am I unemployed?
There are many reasons why you might find it difficult to find work or be long-term unemployed including:
- A lack of skills or formal qualifications
- Limited access to childcare
- Having a criminal record
- Low self-esteem/self-confidence
- Not knowing how and where to find/apply for jobs
- Inflexible jobs and employers
- Physical and mental health issues
- Illiteracy.

Who have we helped?
Working with LLW we’ve helped many customers but today we’ll talk about Vinh, aged 35, who was made redundant during the peak of the Covid-19 pandemic. He had managerial experience with various organisations but needed advice and support with his CV and interview skills.
We helped him develop his CV and improve his interview skills too. We also analysed his experience and based on this encouraged him to apply for a recruitment role. Throughout the process we were in touch to keep him motivated by helping him stay positive when he didn’t hear back about some of his applications.
We were delighted to hear the good news from Vinh when he got the response he was waiting for – he got the job!
