Celebrating our 2025 community champions

10 July 2025 - Communities
We recognised our local heroes at our annual making a difference awards.

Our Community Investment Team have been running the awards for four years, recognising the individuals, groups and projects which go above and beyond to support our customers and communities.

It was an opportunity to highlight the people who make a real difference, those who volunteer, organise local activities, or simply offer a helping hand to neighbours in need.

Customers were invited to submit nominations across a range of categories, including:

  • Community Contribution Award

  • Communities Together Award

  • Great Neighbour Award

  • Young Unsung Hero Award

Winners were selected by a panel of judges including members of staff in our Communities Team, Our Customer Panel and Kate Gascoigne, Chief Customer Officer.

Shopping vouchers worth £100 for the winners and £75 for the runners-up were presented by Dawn Wightman, A2Dominion’s Director of Customers and Communities, and Kate Gascoigne, Chief Customer Officer.

Dawn Wightman said: “The nominations we received this year were a powerful reminder of the incredible things that happen when people step up to support their neighbours, whether through volunteering, organising local activities, or simply being there for someone in need. Thank you to those who nominated and congratulations to our amazing winners and runners up."
