Investing £6.85m to make homes safer for residents in Surrey

26 June 2026
We’ve completed a £6.85m programme of cladding and safety improvements to cladding 75 homes in Surrey as part of our wider work to make sure residents feel safe in their home.

These works are part of our ongoing investment in building safety and providing safe, high-quality housing.

The project at Manor Court in Weybridge, Surrey, focused on improving fire safety and upgrading key parts of the building to meet current standards.

Work began in November 2024 after routine checks show that improvements were needed.  Throughout the programme, we made sure that appropriate safety measures were in place so residents could continue to live safely in their homes.

Manor Court has now received an A1 fire rating, the highest available for cladding fire safety.

Jessica Ward, Head of Building Projects at A2Dominion, said: “Completing essential cladding remediation works, as well as much needed estate improvements is an important milestone for Manor Court and reflects our continued commitment to resident safety, regulatory compliance and the long-term quality of our homes. I would like to thank residents for their patience and understanding throughout the programme.”

Brenda, 75, has lived at Manor Court for over 30 years, and is really pleased with the works completed at her home.

She says the cladding remediation provides reassurance and makes her “feel a lot safer”. She added: “I think they've done a great job.”

Brenda’s home was also renovated with new windows, a modern kitchen and upgraded bathroom facilities.

She said: “My home looks absolutely wonderful. I've always been happy here don't get me wrong, but it makes you feel happy to see it looking so nice. They installed a new kitchen, with new cooker, worktops and painted it all so lovely. In the bathroom they also installed new handles to make it so much easier for me to move around.”
