What deposit must I pay and how is it protected?

1 min read

You will need to pay a deposit before you move into your new home if you are renting:

  • One of our private homes

  • Key worker accommodation

  • Student accommodation

Your deposit will not be more than the amount equal to 5 weeks' rent.

Contact us

If you live in one of our private rented or key worker homes, we will hold your deposit in the Deposit Protection Scheme (DPS). They'll send you a letter or an email to confirm they have received it and let you know your unique deposit ID number.

If you live in one of our student properties, A2Dominion will hold your deposit.

If you leave your home clean, in good repair and have a zero balance rent account when you move out, you'll get your full deposit back.
