Adjust your service charge Direct Debit

2 min read

You can use this form if you're a homeowner and you want to:

  • Request a refund if your service charge account is in credit, or

  • Increase your Direct Debit to pay off arrears/debt in your service charge account.

Reducing your Direct Debit - refunding your credit

We'll usually give you a Direct Debit refund if there is a clear credit on your service charge account. If you have any arrears, we'll deduct these from any credit you love.

We'll reduce the amount we collect for your next Direct Debit payment by the amount your account is in credit. Once we have refunded the credit to your account, your Direct Debit will return to your normal monthly amount.

Increasing your Direct Debit - paying off your arrears

If we've sent you a letter telling you about a deficit in your service charge account, you can increase your monthly Direct Debit to pay this off. We'll increase your Direct Debit to collect the arrears in instalments. And we'll let you know how much each instalment will be before we take the first payment.

If the change is greater than £20 per month, we'll contact you before changing your Direct Debit.

Before you start

You should only use this form if you already pay your service charge by Direct Debit.
