Take part in the Stop Social Housing Stigma survey

17 December 2025 - Communities
Stop Social Housing Stigma, a tenant-led campaign group, is running a national survey to find out how people feel about living in social housing. The survey is open until 1 January 2026.

They want to hear from tenants who rent their home from housing associations, like A2Dominion. If this applies to you, then this is your opportunity to share your thoughts.

We’ve recently signed up to support the campaign. We want to see a change in the negative views and biases that exist about social housing. It’s important the views of tenants living in the homes we manage get to influence this change.

Stop Social Housing Stigma is a tenant-led campaign that celebrates the value of social housing and its residents, breaking down stereotypes and challenging the stigma that surrounds it.

Over 1,500 people have already taken part in the survey. The initial results show that:

  • Over two thirds (70%) of social housing tenants feel stigmatised living in social housing

  • Over half (53%) feel stigmatised because of the actions of their landlords

  • Over two-thirds (68%) consider the Government has done little or nothing at all to address stigma.

Do these results reflect how you feel? There’s still time for you to have your say and be part of a campaign that will drive the cultural transformation of your community.
