The deadline for nominations has been extended to 31 March.
The awards are an opportunity to celebrate and reward the amazing people, groups, and projects whose contributions improve our communities – changing lives, building community spirit, and helping others stay safe and well.
Dawn Wightman, A2Dominion’s Director of Customer and Communities, said: “I’m proud to launch our 2025 Community Awards. It is an opportunity for us to recognise and appreciate our unsung heroes.
“This could be through an act of kindness, opening a food or social hub, volunteering or much more. Whether they are the quiet hero working behind the scenes or the star of your local neighbourhood, these awards will acknowledge their outstanding contribution.”

Celebrating last year’s winner Leo Vaughn
Last year we presented the Specialist Housing Champion Award to Leo Vaughan, a resident at Audrey Needham House in Newbury, for launching a ‘buddy club’. This was appreciated by male residents, who found it difficult to meet others and often felt isolated and lonely.
Leo said: “I saw the potential and knew that if I made the effort, I could make a difference. My goal was to create a regular social gathering for male residents to help ease loneliness and isolation.
“The reward for me was seeing residents smiling and interacting. It was wonderful to get the acknowledgement and hope it will inspire others to do something similar.”

You can nominate anyone in the community who supports A2Dominion residents. They don’t have to be an A2Dominion resident themselves, but they can’t be an A2Dominion staff member or contractor.
Award categories
Great Neighbour Award - someone who offers support, kindness, and friendship to those around them, making their neighbourhood a better place to live.
Community Contribution Award - someone who has improved the well-being, safety, or environment of their community.
Communities Together Award - a group or collaboration that brings people together to make positive changes.
