Talk Money Week is a UK-wide annual campaign run by the Money and Pensions Service, taking place this year from 3–7 November 2025. Its goal is to encourage people to have more open conversations about money whether that’s budgeting, saving, debt, pensions, or everyday financial decisions.
Social tariffs are one of the easiest ways to reduce bills – these are discounted rates offered by service providers to people on low incomes or certain benefits. But many people don’t know they exist.
We want every customer to know what help is available and how our Tenancy Sustainment Team can support you.
Richard Bampton, A2Dominion’s Project Director Customer Support, said: “Talk Money Week is about empowering people to take control of their finances.
“Our friendly Tenancy Sustainment Team is here to help with practical advice, support and guidance, whether it’s managing money, reducing debts or applying for benefits.”
What are social tariffs and who can get them?
Social tariffs are special discounted rates offered by broadband, energy and water companies. They’re designed to support people receiving benefits such as Universal Credit and Pension Credit.
Broadband savings
Many broadband providers offer packages between £10 and £20 per month for eligible customers. These plans still provide decent speeds for everyday use and can cut bills by more than half.
Water bill support
Water companies offer social tariffs for low-income households and those with high water usage due to medical needs. Many also provide help with water debt.

How to apply
You can find out more about social tariffs and some of the offers on the Ofcom website or you can contact your own broadband provider to check if they offer a discounted tariff. You may need to provide proof of your income or benefits when applying.
