Partnership with PurpleCV helps customer secure employment

Amanda Gray, 57 and from Staines, secured a carer job with support from our partnership with PurpleCV.

After a long period of unemployment while Amanda was a full-time carer to a family member, she was struggling to find a job and decided to register on our Pathways Programme.

Through our Pathways Programme, we offer a free employment service for customers who are aged 16 and over. This includes one-on-one support for those who want to kick-start their career or get back into work. We also offer one-to-one mentoring to boost interview skills and provide training and employment opportunities.

Amanda met with Yasmeen Ali, Employment, Training, and Project Lead at A2Dominion, who supported her to search for jobs, boost her confidence, and develop interview skills. Yasmeen also referred Amanda to our partners PurpleCV for tailored support to write her CV.

Once Amanda’s CV was written by PurpleCV, she was able to take the next steps in applying for job opportunities and felt confident in attending potential job interviews.  Within a short period of time, Amanda managed to successfully gain employment with a well-established care company.

Amanda said: “I’m so pleased to have got a job, it is such a relief. I was worried as my confidence was low and I needed help with my CV.

Through the Pathways Programme, I was referred to PurpleCV for support, who were excellent. I would recommend PurpleCV and I have rated their services as 100%. I was very happy with my CV, the bullet points helped to make my experience stand out and my CV was clear and easy to read. Thank you!”

PurpleCV is one of our partners and we’re working together to provide free CV packages for customers on our Pathways Programme.

Andrew Arkley, Founder and Director of PurpleCV, said: “We’re delighted to be partnering with A2Dominion. We provide ongoing CV writing support to customers to help them stand out in a competitive job market.

“Just as everyone deserves a safe and affordable home, we believe that everyone should have a fair chance to find a good job – and it all starts with the strong first impression made by a great CV.”

Yasmeen Ali, Employment, Training and Project Lead at A2Dominion: Amanda was struggling to find suitable employment due to a long-term employment gap and was facing other barriers to work.  We made a quick referral to our partner PurpleCV, and this enabled her to take the next steps in finding suitable employment.

“We booked regular catchups to support her with her job search and provided coaching with her interview techniques. This has helped to kick-start her career and get her first step into care work. We wish her luck in her new job.”
