What is a resident engagement strategy?

2 min read

Safety is our top priority, and we want our customers to feel and be safe in their homes.

Our Resident Engagement Strategy is part of our legal duty as a landlord to ensure our buildings are safe, and to provide safety information to our residents in buildings that are 18 metres (6 storeys) tall or more.

How will I receive this information?

As part of the resident engagement strategy, all eligible customers will receive tailored building safety information packs. These should also be shared with anyone aged 16 and over in your home to ensure that they are familiar with the safety advice.

The booklets include details on the fire evacuation strategy for your building, how to raise concerns, share issues and have your say on safety decisions.

Each booklet is tailored for individual buildings and includes:

  • Contact details for your dedicated Property Safety Manager and their responsibilities

  • How we’ll communicate with you to keep you updated

  • Our responsibilities as your landlord and how we will keep your building safe

  • Fire safety advice to help prevent a fire in your home

  • Information on what to do if there is a fire in your building

Customers are also encouraged to get involved in our projects and decision making. Your building safety information booklet includes details on the different ways you can share your views.

Please contact your Building Safety Manager if you have not received your copy.
