Police Award to our colleague Holly for ASB work in the community

We are proud to announce that Holly Abberley, Team Manager in our Anti-Social Behaviour (ASB) Resolution Team in Spelthorne, has been awarded a special Tackling Anti-Social Behaviour Award by Surrey Police.

The award was presented to Holly for her outstanding contributions to reducing anti-social behaviour in the Spelthorne area.

Her dedication to tackling anti-social behaviour and close partnership with the local police team have made a significant impact in improving the lives of many of our residents in Spelthorne.

One recent example of Holly’s work was when she partnered with Surrey Police to get possession of a property that was being used for drug dealing and violence. Although the process of going through the courts was challenging, once the property was closed down the ASB and crime issues experienced by local residents stopped and they could enjoy their homes again.

Holly said: “I’m delighted to have received an award that acknowledges the hard work and dedication I’ve put into improving the lives of our residents. This recognition means a great deal to me, as it highlights the collective efforts made to create a safer and more supportive environment for our communities.

“I understand the impact that anti-social behaviour can have on the lives of our residents. I’ve seen first-hand how it can affect their sense of security and wellbeing. That’s why I am committed to doing everything I can to ensure our residents feel safe and supported in their homes.”

The award was presented to Holly by Chief Constable Tim de Meyer and Jo Grimshaw, Head of ASB and Partnerships at Surrey Police, in recognition of Holly’s invaluable support and unwavering commitment to the community.

Surrey Police highlighted Holly’s exceptional role in their nomination. Chief Constable Tim de Meyer said: “Whenever the police need help on a specific address, Holly is there to assist. She has helped the team over the years to tackle anti-social behaviour in the borough and continues to do so.

"While Holly does not work for the police, her close relationship with the Spelthorne Neighbourhood Team means they consider her part of the team. Without Holly, Spelthorne SNT would not have achieved half of the results they have for the community over the last few years.”
