Could you need extra support in the event of an emergency?

31 March 2025 - Home
We’re asking you to let us know if you, or a member of your household, could have difficulty leaving your home in an emergency situation such as a fire.

If you believe you do, either due to a short or long-term situation, we’re here to support you.

By letting us know, we’ll be able to carry out what’s known as a Person-Centred Fire Risk Assessment (PCFRA) with you.

This is a simple risk assessment process. It allows us to understand if you may be at higher risk from fire and decide on what needs to be done to help keep you safe.

Tania Emery, A2Dominion’s Building Safety Director, says: “Fire safety is one of our top priorities. It’s rare that emergencies happen, but if they do it’s important to have up-to-date information about which of our customers need extra help to leave the building so this can be shared with your local fire brigade.”

You can let us know if you feel you could need extra support today by filling out the form on our website Help page

When you've filled out the form, we'll review the information you’ve given us and will contact you if we need to carry out a PCFRA.

What is a PCFRA?

Completing the PCFRA involves a visit to your home to review your circumstances. We then share this information with your local fire brigade who use it to decide if they need to put into place a Personal Emergency Evacuation Plan, known as a PEEP. These are tailored to the individual and help the emergency services know who they need to give extra help to in a fire.
