There are three levels of workshops, led by our specialist business coach, running over the next three months. Whether you have a business idea and don’t know where to begin, or you have started a business but need some support to take it to the next level we can help.
Denise Da Silva, Enterprise Coordinator, said: “We’re offering free online workshops for beginners, intermediate and advanced, which are open to all A2Dominion customers over the age of 18. If you meet the criteria we’ve outlined below, you’ll also be in with a chance to win more than £1,000 in funding for your business.
Opportunity to get funding for your business
If you complete all three of the beginners’ workshops and submit plans for an viable business* you’ll also be considered for a £1,000 grant or more to help kick-start your business idea. Unfortunately the Beginners' workshops are now full so keep an eye out for future dates.
*eligibility for funding is based on the attendance and completion of all three beginners’ workshops as well as meeting set objectives.
Who is it for?
A2Dominion customers aged 18 and over who want to start their own business or want to take their business to the next level, with support from business experts.
Business in a Box is a series of online workshops, broken up into three levels. You only need to attend the workshops relevant to you and your business.

Beginners’ workshops - these workshops are now full
Three workshops covering the basics of starting a business, including:
- Creating a business plan
- Business essentials and financials
- Using social media and marketing
The beginners’ workshops run weekly on Wednesday evenings online, between 6pm and 9pm and start on Thursday 21 February.
Growth Lab
Three intermediate level workshops for those that are a little further along, covering topics including:
- Working on your customer value proposition
- Competitor research and analysis
- Greater depth business essentials and financials
Growth Lab sessions run fortnightly online between 6pm and 9pm and start on Thursday 4 April.

We also have three bitesize lunchtime workshops to take your business to the next level, covering topics including:
