A2Dominion’s Development Services designs and builds high quality, sustainable housing to meet housing need in London and southern England, providing homes for rent, shared ownership and private sale.
With an ambitious development programme across all tenures, the Group has preferred partnership status with the HCA. In 2012/13 we received £12m of grant funding from the Homes & Communities Agency.
We were ranked as one of the top 10 developing housing associations in the UK by Inside Housing in 2012 based on completions.
These commercial activities subsidise and complement our core business, supporting our continuing commitment to offer a choice of tenures and challenging social housing stereotypes. Our surpluses are reinvested into developing more affordable housing and making our existing homes and services even better.
National Affordable Housing Programme (NAHP) 2011 to 2015
We are working with the Homes and Communities Agency (HCA) to deliver homes through the Affordable Homes Programme and will publish quarterly data on any expenditure over £500 relating to the delivery of our schemes.

The Group’s Development Strategy is to support the delivery of the Government’s plans to increase the supply of new homes and respond to the national policy emphasis of more homes for less money.
Over the past few years our substantial annual development programme has placed us amongst the top 10 house builders in the country, irrespective of tenure.
Homes and Communities Agency targets exceeded
A2Dominion’s Commercial Directorate has achieved and exceeded all major targets set by the Homes and Communities Agency (HCA).
- We exceeded our rented and sales completion targets by 51% and 124% respectively.
- We exceeded our rented and sales start on site targets by 171% and 164% respectively.
- We exceeded our grant income target by 55%.
- In addition, we were successful in securing grant for Gun Wharf, Balham Hill, Hogarth Court and Essex Wharf (London) and Bicester (southern England). HCA funds are pending for Alfa Laval and Plot 61 (London) and Stanwell Phase 3, Diamedes, Windmill Lodge and Park Road (southern England).
NW Bicester - one of the UK's first designated eco towns
As housing partner in the NW Bicester Eco Development consortium, we are delivering a new 'Exemplar' eco village that meets the nine challenging criteria for Level 5 of the Code for Sustainable Homes.
Located in north Oxfordshire, the proposed eco town development is set to provide a zero carbon community of 5,000 homes over the next 20 years, as well as new business and employment opportunities for local people.

SHIFT – Silver status
A2Dominion has achieved Silver status in the Sustainable Homes Index For Tomorrow (SHIFT) scheme.
Assessment for this accreditation focuses on four criteria - strategy and management, offices, existing stock and new build. The final rating identifies the overall performance of the organisation.
