A2Dominion and Crest Nicholson propose new residential development in Walton-on-Thames

Partners A2Dominion and Crest Nicholson, known as Crest A2D, have proposed a new residential development of approximately 350 homes at Walton Court in Walton-on-Thames.

The new scheme will change the site close to Walton Station into private sale apartments and townhouses. The development will also include affordable housing and some commercial and public space to support the needs of the community and complement existing local services.

The buildings have been designed to reflect and honour the historic features of the original listed building, proposing a modern and geometric look with an internal courtyard and water features. The listed bird sculpture will be retained within the open lawns providing an impressive setting for the development. Furthermore, all public areas will be significantly improved with high quality community and private landscaped areas.

A public consultation event was held on 15 and 17 December 2016 proposing the scheme to the community.

Steve Coggins, A2Dominion’s Regional Development Director South said:

I am delighted to say the public consultation event was well attended with over 300 people visiting the exhibition. Our proposals, including two different design options, were met with enthusiasm from local people, with many acknowledging the residential development of the vacant site as a positive move.”
